⚠️ URGENT PUBLIC NOTICE: WATER SYSTEM UPDATE ⚠️
Our teams are working through the evening and overnight to resolve ongoing issues with the municipal water system. Here is what you need to know right now:
Top Priority:
Restoring water pressure to the Manor and the Health Center immediately.
Service Interruptions:
Water is being shut off to specific sections of the community to build pressure.
Restoration Goal:
We hope to have water fully running in affected areas by tomorrow.
Boil Water Order:
The boil order remains in effect for all residents until further notice.
🚰 EMERGENCY WATER RESOURCES AT THE FIRE HALL 8:30AM – 9:00PM:
Bottled Water:
Free bottles are available right now for drinking.
Utility Water:
Bring your own containers to fill up water for flushing toilets, washing dishes, etc.
🚚 DO YOU NEED DELIVERY ASSISTANCE?
If your water is still shut off by 12:00 PM (Noon) tomorrow, please contact the Village Office. We will make every effort to deliver bottled water directly to your home.

📢 Notice to Residents

NB Southern Railway’s annual vegetation management program is scheduled to take place between June 1 and September 15, 2026 along sections of the railway line, including areas near McAdam.

The program is carried out to help maintain safe and reliable railway infrastructure by controlling weeds, brush, and other vegetation along the rail corridor. Applications will be completed by trained and certified operators in accordance with Federal and Provincial regulations and approved permits.

As in previous years, identified no-spray and buffer zones within the community will be respected.

Hiring Equipment Operator

The Village of McAdam is hiring!

We’re looking for an Equipment Operator to join our team. This full-time position offers a starting wage of $26.03/hr (40-hour work week) with benefits under CUPE 770.

Applicants must hold a Class 3E Driver’s Licence, have a Grade 12 education, and experience operating heavy equipment. Training for Sewer and Water certification is provided.

Public Notice – McAdam Water Reservoir Repairs

Public Notice – McAdam Water Reservoir Repairs

The Village of McAdam wants to advise residents that repairs to the McAdam Water Reservoir are scheduled to begin June 1, 2026, with preparation work starting the week of May 25. The project is expected to take approximately 4–6 weeks.

During this time, residents may experience a temporary drop in water pressure. To help reduce strain on the water system, please conserve water and avoid the following:

  • Washing vehicles
  • Filling swimming pools
  • Lawn watering
  • Excessive outdoor water use

⚠️ No open fires or burning will be permitted in the village during this period, and no fire permits will be issued.

Summer Bible Camp!

☀️ Summer Bible Hour is coming up at Thomaston Corner Meeting Room!

Children ages 5 and up are invited to join for a fun-filled week of songs, Bible stories, crafts, prizes, and time together from June 22–26 at 10:00 AM. Adults are welcome too!

Water Main Fushing

Water main flushing will begin in the Village of McAdam starting May 4 as part of our annual maintenance program.

Flushing will take place weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and will continue for approximately 4 weeks. During this time, you may notice low water pressure or temporary discoloration in your water.

If this happens, simply run your cold water until it clears. We also recommend avoiding laundry during flushing hours.

The McAdam Campground is looking for a Campground Attendant starting May 18. This is a full-time seasonal role (40 hours/week) running approximately 24 weeks.
