MCADAM VILLAGE COUNCIL

Public Notice from Village Council

COVID-19 is moving its way across Canada and we see the numbers of cases going up quickly in many other parts of the country.  While many Canadians take the COVID-19 threat seriously, we know from polling that some 20% do not and continue to flaunt social distancing.  We can be proud as a community that we have taken our responsibilities in social distancing seriously and that this has likely had a direct affect on the lack of spread of the virus here.   Although McAdam has not yet had a confirmed case of COVID-19, the threat is real to our community’s collective health and we must not let our guard down.  Please continue to follow social distancing, handwashing and personal safety guidelines.

Our community can also be proud of our support of one another.  Many McAdamites are looking after their neighbours by running errands, checking up on one another and providing us with much needed entertainment.  As we know, many people are being and, have been, laid off because of the virus.  As a result, the food bank has been seeing a rise in the number of inquiries and usage.  These layoffs are putting many of our hard-working neighbours in a position where they may need a bit of a hand up.  We can do this either directly or by supporting the foodbank.  We are all in this together and together we will get through this.

Update: Corey’s Independent McAdam

By News, Uncategorized

Update: With the announcement of N.B. under a State of Emergency we need to promote social distancing for your safety.  At any time no more than 35 customers are allowed in the store.  If by chance we exceed this limit, we kindly ask you to wait outside or in your vehicle until other customers exit.  Also, we ask that you try and stay 6 feet apart if possible when in the store.  We have marked out spaces to wait in line at the check out for your convenience.  Again this is for all our safety.  Thank you for understanding.

  • If you are not able to make it into the store, or do not feel comfortable coming but need necessities, please give us a call at 784-2536 and we can deliver.

We are taking extra precautions at our pharmacy to protect our staff and our customers. In order to stay healthy and keep our doors open we are asking for your help!

⭕️ Please phone in your prescriptions rather then coming into the store to request your refills.  **Expect wait times for prescriptions to be longer then usual, calling ahead will allow us plenty of time to get things ready.

⭕️Ask your doctor to phone or fax in any new prescriptions you may need.

⭕️When you pick up your prescription please distance yourself 6 feet (2 meters) from other customers and staff when possible.

⭕️We prefer payment with debit or credit but will still be accepting cash if needed.

⭕️We will not be accepting any empty prescription bottles, jars or bottles, expired medication or sharps containers at this time.

⭕️We are following the advice of our college and association and only filling prescriptions for a 30 day supply to ensure everyone gets the medication they need.

To protect ourselves, our staff,  and our families, please do not come into the pharmacy if you are feeling ill with cold or flu like symptoms. If you are having symptoms and unsure if it may be covid-19 please call telecare 811. If you are sick and in need of prescriptions or other medications please call the pharmacy at 784-2256 and we will do our best to make arrangements to get them to you.

Thank you,

Carla and Ryan
