PUBLIC NOTICE

Take notice that the Council of the Village of McAdam, in compliance with Section 111 of the Community Planning Act of the Province of New Brunswick, intends to hold a public hearing of objections on October 9th, 2019, 6.30 p.m. at the McAdam Lions Community Centre, 165 Saunders Road, McAdam to hear objections and/or comments pursuant to the proposed Village of McAdam Rural Plan, By-law 58.

The village of McAdam is seeking to repeal its Basic Planning Statement By-law 31 and Zoning By-law 58 and replace them with Rural Plan By-law 58, under the authority of the Community Planning Act.  This is mostly a procedural exercise but does deviate from the previous By-laws by allowing private garages as a conditional use in the R zone and through the creation of an Artisan Manufacturing (C2) zone.

Anyone wishing to offer opinion on this proposed By-law may do so in person at the hearing of objections meeting or in writing by dropping off your letter during regular business hours in the office of the Clerk of the Village of McAdam at the Village Office, 146 Saunders Rd., before noon on October 9th, 2019.  A letter may also be sent by email to adonahue@mcadamnb.com.  A copy of proposed By-law may be inspected at the Village Office where business hours are from 9am-4pm Monday – Friday.
