Railway pie has long been a tradition with the community of, and visitors to McAdam. Sadly it has now come to an end but there is an exciting new event to take its place, “Tour & Tea with Abigail”. A huge heart felt thank you to the ladies who, over many, many years produced the delicious pies which left customers always wanting more.

The McAdam Beautification Committee would like to thank the community for their nominations for “Green Space” Naming project. The citizens group reviewed all submissions, and through an open and fair voting process, narrowed the selection down to four names to be voted upon by the public. Each name has historical value and meaning to McAdam. They are, as follows, in no particular order:
- McAdam Village Green
- Royal Hotel Park
- Whistle Stop Park
- Railside Park
Voting opens, Tuesday, May 7th at 9am. A ballot filled out at the McAdam Village Office. Voting closes May 24th, at 4pm.
It has been noted that there were many candidates worthy of a “Memorial” or “Honourary”. Due to this, the Beautification Committee is looking at future opportunities to recognize these deserving individuals.
