Adelbert (Dell) Nason

The death of Dell Nason occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 20, 2002. Born in McAdam, NB, he was the son of the late Chester and Ida (Golding) Nason and husband of Marion (Day) Nason. He was employed with Canadian Pacific Rail Road for over 20 years. Dell had many hobbies, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, guiding and wood working, and he is known for his well built canoes. Surviving are his wife, Marion; son, Peter of Moncton, NB; daughter, Karen O'Neal of Mcadam, NB; brothers, Cameron (Kathleen) of McAdam, NB, and Lois "Tim" (Audrey) of Harvey Station, NB; sisters, Lucille Taylor of St. Andrew's, NB and Zaida Armstrong of McAdam, NB; grandchildren, Kiel and Kristopher O'Neal and Courtney Boon and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents and sisters, Mary Hanson and Alice Lister. Visitation will be held at the United Baptist Church, McAdam, NB on Friday, February 22, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9p .m. The funeral service will be held at the United Baptist Church, McAdam on Saturday, February 23, 2002 at 2 p.m. Rev. David Ingalls will officiate. At his residence, St. Croix, NB, November 3, 2002, Cecil Gerald Nason, son of the late Edgar W. and Amanda E. (Ross) Nason. Survived by four sisters, Evelyn Taylor, Hamilton, Ontario, Thelma Wilcox (Willis) Grand Manan, NB, Edna Nason, Hamilton, Ontario and Barbara Nason, Calgary, Alberta, two brothers, David Nason (Gloria) and Eugene Nason of McAdam, NB, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Gordon, Norman, Stuart, Jack and Ross. Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB (506-466-1844) from where funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 6, 2002 at 11 AM with Rev. David Ingalls officiating. Survived by his wife, Gloria (Currie), daughter, Deanna (Rowland Perkins) of Calgary, Alberta, sons, Marty (Angela) London, Ontario, Shawn (Jennifer), Winnipeg, Manitoba, grandchildren, Devin, Tamica, Kendall, Hunter and Sarah, great grandchildren, Daytona and Rileigh, four sisters, Evelyn Taylor, Hamilton, Ontario, Thelma Wilcox (Willis) Seal Cove, Grand Manan, Edna Nason, Hamilton, Ontario, Barbara Nason, Calgary, Alberta, one brother, Eugene Nason, McAdam, NB, six brothers-in-law, Daryl (June), Toronto, Ontario, Blaythe (Ann), Seagrave, Ontario, Milton (Donna), McAdam, NB, Addison (Gail), West Hill, Ontario, Duane (Vivian) Aliceville, Alabama, USA, Richard (Mary), Orleans, Ontario, sisters-in-law, Marjorie Nason, Elaine Nason, McAdam, NB and Norma Nason, Saint John, NB, two very close friends who were like son’s, Bruce Smith (Crystal), New Glasgow, NS, Mark Keenan (Nancy), Mactaquac, NB, special cousin, Willard Griffin (Orpha), Keswick Ridge, NB and David’s special neighbors, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by his parents, Edgar and Amanda Nason, granddaughter, Hilary Nason, brothers, Gordon, Norman, Stuart, John Cecil and Ross, parents-in-law, Donald and Helen Currie, formerly of Fredericton Junction, NB, step sister-in-law, Louise Wilson.

He worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway for 25 years. He spent many years providing home repairs for his many customers. He loved the outdoors and spending the hunting and fishing seasons with his family.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation, The IWK In Memory of granddaughter Hilary or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

In keeping with David’s wishes there will be no funeral service or visitation.

Cremation has taken place.

NASON, ROBERT L.- Robert Lloyd Nason of Fredericton Junction, NB passed away accidentally while working at Camp Gagetown on October 2, 2007 at the age of 55. Robert is survived by his partner, Karen Graves; two daughters, Jolene Nason (David McLean) of Lincoln, Robin Hanselpacker (Bill) of St. Stephen; two step-daughters, Katelyn and Kristina; two sons, Cecil Stephenson/Nason (Tammitha) of St. Stephen and Raymond Nason of Lincoln; one sister, Jeannie Burton of Chipman; one brother, Laurie Nason (Karen) of PEI.; eight grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Robert was employed as a Laborer and loved to fish, Hunt, and play Bingo. He is predeceased by his wife, Madeline (Stephenson) Nason; parents Alveretta (Ready) (Enman) and Raymond Nason; one sister, Shirley Nason . NARROWMORE, BERTHA - At her residence on Thursday, June 7th, 2007, Bertha "Bert" May (Essensa) Narrowmore of Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, NB, formerly of McAdam, NB, wife of the late Harold Leslie Narrowmore. Born in Harvey Station, NB she is the daughter of the late Gardiner and Margaret (Piercy) Essensa. A veteran of World War 2. Bert served in the CWAC. Over many years she was involved with the Order of the Eastern Star of McAdam, the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 7 of McAdam and the McAdam Curling Club. She also enjoyed her summers with her family at Harvey Lake.
She is survived by her 2 sons Brian (Joan) of St. Stephen, Alan (Mary) of Saint John, son in law Edgar Barrieau, 2 brothers Donald (Maxine) of Etobicoke, Ontario, Raymond (Dorothy) of Saint John, 3 sisters Margaret McAloon (Doug) of Stanley, NB, Glenna Muise (Lindsay) of Trenton, Ontario, Shirley Watling of Woodstock, NB, 3 special sisters in law Margaret Narrowmore, Betty Essensa, Joyce Essensa, 5 grandchildren, Timothy Barrieau (Peggy), Terry Barrieau (Brenda), Krista McGaw (Rick), Stacey Belyea ( Gord), Sandra Prosser (Sean), 5 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren Daniel LeClair (Gen) and Mark LeClair (Regan), several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bert was predeceased by a daughter Marilyn Barrieau, brothers Earl, Lawrence and Lloyd, sister Christina McElwaine, brother in law Byron Watling.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home, however friends are invited to attend a service of rememberance to be held on Sunday, June 10th, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Rockland Drive United Baptist Church, McAdam, NB The interment will follow in the Rockland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer's Society.

Margaret Eleanor Narrowmore

The passing of Margaret Eleanor (Robinson) Narrowmore of Bedell, NB, formerly of McAdam, occurred at Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB on Sunday, March 16, 2008. Margaret was born January 8, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Susan (Lindsay) Robinson. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her son; Darrel (Doris) of Bedell and daughter; Irene (Wilfred) Holmes of Fredericton, four grandchildren; Andy (Kelly) Narrowmore, Susan (Andrew) Laskey, Shari Holmes and Steven (Jill) Holmes, eight great grandchildren; Mandy and Beth Narrowmore; Craig, Matt and Ashleigh Laskey; Matthew, Daniel and Nathan Holmes, sister-in-law; Mary Robinson, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband; Rodney Narrowmore (1976); brothers; Horace, Charles, Lawrence, Cecil, Hal and sisters; Ada and Vivian.
Resting at the Rockland Drive United Baptist Church, McAdam, NB, visting hours will be held at the church on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 from 12 noon to 2 PM, with the funeral service at 2:30 PM with Rev. Scott Kohler officiating. Interment at Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, NB will be held at a later date.

NICHOLS- At the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, N.B. January 23, 2008, William George Allen Nichols of McAdam, N.B. passed away. He was the son of the late Frank and Rita (McLellan) Nichols and husband of Jeannine (McGee) Nichols.

Survived by his wife, 1 son, Derek of Fredericton, N.B., 1 daughter, Penny Hornby (Richard) of London, ON, grandchildren, Justin and Ashley, 2 sisters, Dorothy Terry and Judy Butler of Nova Scotia, several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation or service at this time by request. There will be a graveside service at Rockland Cemetery in the spring.

Audrey P. Noble

Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Nov. 8,2003. Audrie P. Noble of Saint John widow of William B. Noble. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Daisy (Oram) Brantnall. Audrie spent the greater part of her life in Saint John but had lived in Elgin N.B for 10 years. She was a past member of The Womens Institute and an active member of the Millidgeville Seniors and a member of the of The N.B Seniors Citizen Federation. Audrie enjoyed travelling with seniors citizens. She was a member of St. Luke's Anglican Church. She is survived by one son Donald Noble (Holly) of Saint John East, one daughter Karen Henwood of Saint John. Friend Doris Bernard of Florida, one sister in law Joan Brantnall of Kingston, Ont. Two Grandsons, Marc Henwood and Christopher Henwood. Two step grandsons Adam and Scott Dincorn. Several nieces and nephews. Audrie was predeceased by her brother George Brantnall. Resting at the A.W Cavanagh Funeral Home, 91 Leinster St. (634-1712). From where the Memorial service will be held on Wednesday Nov. 12, 2003 at 1PM. Visiting hours Monday and Tuesday 2-4, 7-9PM. Interment in Rockland Cemetery McAdam at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
