It is with great sadness that the family of Charlene Page
announces her passing, very suddenly, yet peacefully, at her home in
McAdam, N.B. January 5, 2008.
Born on Nov 6, 1929, she was the eldest daughter of the late Margaret and Ellis
(Shongo) Moore. She was a strong Christian and an active member of Rockland Drive
United Baptist Church. She was a life-long encourager and friend to many. She
was very active until the day she died, traveling with friends to neighbouring
towns and cities and attending almost every community supper and event. She will
be sorely missed by many.
Summers on Wauklehegan Lake were especially meaningful. We will miss the walks
in the woods, the canoe trips, blueberry picking, the many laughs over card games
and boggle, fishing and swimming. It was a very special place for her and her
family.
Charlene is survived by her two daughters Louise and Lynn Page of Dartmouth,
her son Joe and his wife Kathy of Quispamsis, four loving Grandchildren, Jacob,
Deveney, Lydia and Joley Page. One sister Joanne (Raleigh) of Florida, many special
sisters and brothers in law, many cousins, nieces and nephews and some very special
friends. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 48 years, Alfred, in 1996, her
brothers James, Odville, Holly and Leroy, and an infant sister, Gladys.
Resting at Rockland Drive Baptist Church with visiting Tuesday 2-5, 7-9 pm with
the funeral service on Wednesday, January 9, at 1pm from the Church. Donations
may be made to Rockland Drive Baptist Church, Heart and Stroke foundation or
the McAdam Station Restoration Fund. Funeral Arrangements made by S.O. Mehan
